Jamal Aytes said he's likely to visit Gonzaga and West Virginia next week. Officials.Jamal Aytes has blown up on the summer hoops circuit. The 6'7" forward out of J Serra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California is rated as a three star recruit by ESPN and comes in at 28th in California and 66th in the nation at the power forward position. Largely unheralded before this summer, only three schools were showing interest in Aytes.

San Diego got in on Aytes early in the process. Back in February the Toreros, along with UC Irvine, went up against San Diego State in the battle to land Aytes.
Since the start of the summer circuit however UC Irvine and San Diego have seen their chances at landing Aytes shrink, due to the fact that numerous big-time programs have taken an interest in the surging forward. Miami, Kansas State, Boston College and BYU jumped on the bandwagon and now it appears Arizona, Northwestern, Utah, West Virginia and Gonzaga are piling on as well.
Aytes visited Provo back in late June and has an upcoming visit to Gonzaga. It's uncommon for a guy with the ability to make an instant impact to be undecided less than two months out from the start of the season.
