Countdown 11/3

SIX DAYS REMAIN!!

Santa Clara's Marc Trasolini, who missed his first senior season with a torn ACL suffered in September of last year, is a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award. Only 30 players are nominated for the award. To be eligible for the award a player must be in Division I as a senior and have "notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition".
Trasolini is one of the conference's best basketball players but also one of the best academic performers. He graduated Cum Laude this past March with a 3.68 GPA in Finance and is already in his third quarter of work towards an MBA.
His on the court work is just as impressive. He is fourth in Broncos' history with 122 career blocks and 24th with a nice, round 1,100 points. In his Junior campaign Trasolini led the Broncos to a Postseason Championship in the 2011 CIT.

Not only is this a great honor for Trasolini and the Broncos, but it fits well with the WCC's commitment to the "student" in "student-athlete".
